I drove my co-workers crazy with it.

I looked it up on Wikipedia to see if the song title was hyphenated, and I find this:

"TVC 15" was a single by David Bowie.

The song was inspired by an episode in which Iggy Pop, during a drug-fuelled period at Bowie’s LA home, hallucinated and believed that the television set was swallowing his girlfriend. Beyond oblique mentions to absorption via television, the lyrics are largely nonsensical. Bowie himself hasn’t been able to shed any light on their meaning beyond the Pop anecdote, having very limited recollection of the Station to Station sessions, due to his own heavy drug use at the time.

The song is considerably more upbeat than the rest of the album.

You just knew it had to be something like that.Daisy Deadheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17993200276152025235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-15646793518996528532008-12-28T11:13:00.000-05:002008-12-28T11:13:00.000-05:00hi,i am interested in yoga,i like your blog very m...hi,i am interested in yoga,i like your blog very much.so i linked you.
kindly visit me at www.myhandycam.blogspot.comanushkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09440203637815932896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-14716014282670734882008-12-27T21:47:00.000-05:002008-12-27T21:47:00.000-05:00That was cool. I think Iggy Pop is more recognizable these days -- who would have guessed?

The Detroit yoga crowd cracks me up (I only tried it a couple times). They do yoga for a long while and then rush out afterwards for massive amounts of booze, which makes me wonder what the yoga folks do in Russia . . .

Salud, Happy retreat!Erik Donald Francehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02332500850365598564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-57528103715990909392008-12-27T12:38:00.000-05:002008-12-27T12:38:00.000-05:00nothing wrong with not doing yoga... and nothing w...nothing wrong with not doing yoga... and nothing wrong with boycotting, or girlcotting, new years... as for computers crashing... that sucks.Christine Vyrnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15125525692093575724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-30680480257395206142008-12-27T04:09:00.000-05:002008-12-27T04:09:00.000-05:00i was almost absent for a while too... i'm catchin...i was almost absent for a while too... i'm catching up little by little... i'll be back to read your posts

just dropped by to say
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
may all your days shine with light and brim with happiness and yoga...
:)
peacehuman beinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09232419187783429903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-9629453027700803262008-12-27T04:06:00.000-05:002008-12-27T04:06:00.000-05:00What? Oh the insanity of it all...

Since I knew about the Great Computer Disaster of Christmas 2008, how could I have missed you? Especially when you were emailing me daily anyways! ;)

I've taken to having very low key expectations for Christmas day... and this year it was just as well since, as soon as lunch was over, I was almost comatose on the floor and passing out from time to time (still sick I'm afraid).

And given that I'd been sick all week, I think I've actually managed to lose weight over the holidays, which is kind of unheard of...

Enjoy the beach. Just - get a little yoga in each day, a little meditation, and try some yoga nidra (no excuses any more!) and that should be enough to pass for a DIY yoga retreat.

Chat to ya soon, anyways xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-33288280279367889292008-12-27T02:31:00.000-05:002008-12-27T02:31:00.000-05:00Oh well, having fun and relaxing from the "demands...Oh well, having fun and relaxing from the "demands" we place on ourselves is just as valid as anything else.
