That way when you enter it for a time, you don't totally freak out--or at least not for long. That is how a soul gets lost and becomes earthbound.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-33773072951246120452010-02-05T19:09:59.146-05:002010-02-05T19:09:59.146-05:00Yes, although the peace & joyful times of life...Yes, although the peace & joyful times of life are very nice, it's the Dark Nights of the Soul that allow us to reach them.
That's too much about Chubby Checker!Lana Gramlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06975996208260144558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-63591840915731578472010-02-05T03:51:03.462-05:002010-02-05T03:51:03.462-05:00What a post! When that happened, I got a huge surge of adrenaline and really did feel more alive than I had before. I guess it's that time when we have a close brush with what we think might be our death and the clouds seem a little fluffier, the sky a little bluer, and the blades of grass just a bit more vivid. It kind of shifts our focus, I think--and sometimes we need that.

Interestingly, I have never been afraid of snakes. As a matter of fact, I cared for a sweet pet snake for a brief while (it was actually my friend's snake thatI snake-sat for about 2 months while she was traveling with her band). The snake's name was Flexible--"Flex" for short. For a gal who just about craps herself when she sees a snake--well, that's just pretty remarkable!

MelindaMelindahttp://blog.melindaville.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-14274776146882808232010-02-04T11:01:48.697-05:002010-02-04T11:01:48.697-05:00I especially enjoyed your description of your enco...I especially enjoyed your description of your encounter with the copperstick. It's A Yoga Thanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17161028629073261226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-51667599486379534742010-02-02T17:50:40.701-05:002010-02-02T17:50:40.701-05:00Awesome post... and happy Groundhog Day!Awesome post... and happy Groundhog Day!Daisy Deadheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17993200276152025235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2515247027173641993.post-8225516273934157282010-02-02T14:17:40.185-05:002010-02-02T14:17:40.185-05:00I like your description of meditation!
