Will Teach Yoga For Booze

The shallowest still water is unfathomable.

Henry David Thoreau

File Under: Not Sure What the Traditional Yoga Sages Would Think of This, But Doubt It’d Be Good:

...after much talk, finally taught my first living room yoga class...trucked over to my friends’ place, bringing yoga mats & ancient wisdom...they made margaritas....I was, it should be noted, firm and forthright: no drinking ‘til after yoga...

...next week, I’m heading to the shore with some other friends, who’re already making up a menu of cocktails and exotic beers....in the mornings, I’ll be leading hangover yoga on the beach...

...it’s a start...

Dr. Jay, San Diego's draft beer scene is getting great! and we love yoga here too, maybe you should plan a visit/class in Southern California

It's the times?

For people who are sure yoga is not enough (to deaden the pain).

Am trying to figure out the effects of yoga on the inflammation of alcohol....but them again does any really care?

Enjoy the shore. Yoga on the beach should be particularly interesting.

Were you nervous to teach your first class? Nah, not you.

Have a wonderful time at the beach. I am so wanting to head to the beach myself...it has been a full year since we were at the Oregon coast, something I find quite inexcusable.

:-) I've recently discovered that beer is a great vascular dilator...I now recommend at least drinking one before any IV infusion! And Metta meditation relieves any anxiety while laying in an an MRI for more than an hour at a time as well as promoting stillness for accurate images...best asana of course is sivasana. Imagining that one is at the beach while on the warm "bed" of the MRI machine engaged in hangover yoga is something to consider next time through however...thanks for the visual!

Hangover yoga, not gonna happen. Hot Yoga after drinking, not the best idea. Too many static balancing poses, not enough balance.

I was thinking about teaching yoga classes in bars and taverns around Philly, go where the people go, right?
