The Winter of Yoga's Discontent?
...the Vatican’s chief exorcist...yeah, apparently, they still have one o’ those...has called yoga satanic...meaning that, if there’s one thing fundamentalist Protestants, fundamentalist Muslims, and, now, the high orders of the Roman Catholic church can agree on, it’s that this ancient practice is bad, bad, BAD...and that’s not even mentioning the fundamentalist Hindus in India who object to westerners practicing yoga, or the many western yogis...at least in the blogosphere...who disapprove of most other western yogis....what was that about yoga meaning union???....Lululemon’s hawking handbags celebrating selfishness, a good friend and one of the best yoga teachers I know just made the #1 spot in a list of “locals we’d like to see naked” in Philadelphia magazine, and winter’s comin’ on....whatever...I gotta practice...

If you get the right patter going - that almost reads like a yoga version of "We Didn't Start the Fire." ;) It's crazy out there!
If it brings you peace in your being or contentedness to your soul then for this place it must be a declared evil. Yoga on cynical yogi, yoga on.
Well, you know what they say; opinions are like @$$holes and apparently the exorcist's is pretty stinky. His *opinion*, of course. Yes, that's what I meant.
Well, screw all those churches. It gets to the point where I truly feel deep hatred when I read or think about them. That's not a very lovingkindness type of mindset, I do realize. But what a bunch of dopes.
That is hilarious that Philadelphia does that list. There's no denying the superiority of a yoga butt!
Yoga is satanic? Wow. Every time the Catholic church offends me to the core I think it can't happen any worse the next time and yet it continues to do so. The funny thing is that I was raised Catholic and wouldn't mind practicing Catholicism if they weren't such pricks about things like this and women's rights and LGBT rights and all that...I like the idea of saints and holy days and the like. But I'm just some crazy feminist. What do I know?
It's all that flexibility man. The last thing a good catholic needs is flexibility nowaddameen?
