I have to believe that any Vietnamese monk worthy of respect... would not be 'too good' to possess a nerf ball somewhere in the pockets of those orange robes for a special occasion...
I think all of the monks have probably read, 'the unbearable lightness of being nerf. . .' and if I had to guess the other kid has read 'the unbearable lightness of being dick gephardt's eyebrows. . . ' (from a new yorker cartoon ca. century 20)
Even though I didn't get it at first (silly me, missing jokes as usual), I just remembered something I wanted to say...
Perhaps you've never seen a movie called 'The Cup'?
Check it out... its based on a true story (I think) about monks who are totally obsessed with the soccer World Cup. Its beautiful, and shows a totally different perspective to those who live a monastic life.
This reminds me of a time when I was working at a meditation workshop with some famous teacher in a Tribeca loft building, and outside, kids had turned the warehouse exterior structures into a skateboarding park. They were making tons of noise, and the yoga studio owner sent me down to shush them.
I was mortified by the task, but went anyway. The teenage boys were obviously not receptive to my request, but they said, "isn't meditation about overcoming and ignoring external noise and distractions? You should be grateful to us for making your practice better." I told them they were completely right and went back upstairs.

What is so different?
The top picture is beautiful! The bottom is more like something I would do.

Nice legs.
It's not such a leap from one fall to the other. :)
