Autumn Rivulet #1

I’m in the here and now and I’m meditating, and
still I’m sufferin’, but that’s my problem...

Van Morrison

...as long as you’re breathing, there’s more right with you than wrong with you...
Jon Kabat-Zinn

felt a cool autumn
breeze upon waking, though no
window was open

I liked the title of your blog I connected through another blog. I like the things you have going on here. Visit my blog and see what you think.

I once joked that I'd
Name my daughter Rivulet
Because my name's Brooks.

Cool breeze, I feel you.
Difficult world, I hear you.
Self, I forgive you.

This morning I got up and went walking as usual. I experienced a weather change that took me completely by surprise. Rather than crisp autumn air or even the wet days we are accustomed to it was dry and warm - balmy. Yes it was spring like so I renewed my mind and determined to focus on beginnings rather than lamenting endings.

C'mon down here, where it's still hot & oppressively humid!

The colours of autumn are so very pretty.

Thanks for the reminder of why I keep going back to Van M., no matter how far a stray.

Gorgeous tree against that vivid blue.

There was an article in our Sunday paper about the effort to bring back the American Chestnut tree. Very heartening to think that future generations might see forests of them as we have not.

I'm enjoying the autumn colors and as I watch the river flow into the estuary I'm contemplating "The River of Life".

Jay - I love the photograph - I love the single leaf floating in the air. nice poem too. I've always enjoyed that kind of imagery. . . feeling a breeze when no windows are open.
